Dufry: CFO to step down, organisation simplified
(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss travel retailer Dufry said on Friday that CFO Andreas Schneiter will step down for personal reasons, effective as of 31 March.
The Basel-based company announced Yves Gerster as his successor, who has joined the company in 2006 and who will join the executive committee as new CFO from 1 April.
Dufry also said that it will in 2019 it will resume M&A to acquire "easy to integrate" small and medium-size companies.
Dufry is further simplifying its organisation to drive market agility, generate additional efficiencies at the level of its headquarters, while boosting organic growth, it said.
This news received a rather lukewarm reaction from investors: the Zurich-listed shares of Dufry were down 0.4% this morning.
