ABB: to equip Istanbul's Atatürk Olympic Stadium
(CercleFinance.com) - Boğaziçi Elektrik Dağıtım (BEDAŞ), one of the largest electricity distribution companies in Turkey, will partner with ABB to implement a digital solution to improve the power network of the Atatürk Olympic Stadium.
The venue will host the European Champions League Final on 10 June and ensuring a stable and reliable power supply for the televised event is a priority.
To this end, a bespoke solution will be put in place, including the supply and programming of a digital protection and control system for the stadium's substations.
The substations will power everything in the stadium, from floodlights and catering points to the official referee's video assistant referee (VAR) systems and the global broadcast equipment covering the match.
