Clariant: new plant in China
(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday Clariant announced that it is opening a new unit dedicated to the production of additives and light stabilizers in China, a site that it will jointly own with the local group Tiangang.
Located in the development zone of the coastal port of Cangzhou, the plant will increase the Swiss chemist's capacities in reqponse to growing demand for everything relating to high-end processes used in by the automotive, textiles and coatings sectors.
The project will enable it to increase its sales in China, which totaled 402 million Swiss francs last year (around 365 million euros) and which now represent almost 10% of the group's total revenues.
