Roche: biosimilar application filed on Avastin
(CercleFinance.com) - The US company Mylan and the Indian Biocon announced on Monday that the FDA had agreed to examine the marketing application of their generic version of Avastin, Roche's star anticancer drug.
Both partners specify that their request concerns the use of the biosimilar for the treatment of colorectal cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, recurrent glioblastoma and cervical cancer.
Mylan and Biocon expect the FDA to make a decision on whether to market the drug by the end of the year.
