Roche: sets partnership deal with Innovent for cancer drugs
(CercleFinance.com) - Roche has entered a strategic partnership with Chinese biopharmaceutical firm Innovent to discover and develop new treatments for hematological and solid cancers.
The collaboration will focus on the discovery, clinical development and marketing of bispecific antibodies and multiple cell therapies.
Under the terms of the agreement, Innovent will pay milestone payments, and royalties, to access Roche's CAR-T cell technology.
Innovent will develop and market the products, with Roche retaining an option right to license the product outside China.
Should Roche exercise all of its options, it will pay option exercise payments totaling 140 million dollars plus additional payments of up to 2 billion dollars if all products are successfully marketed.
Additionally, Roche will pay double-digit up to mid teen percentage royalties on each product, the companies said.
