AB InBev: making good headway in quarterly results
(CercleFinance.com) - AB InBev is up 3% in Brussels despite the beer-giant's publication of normalised EPS (earnings per share) down slightly by 1% to 0.
73 for the first three months of the year, five cents under consensus.
Normalised EBITDA however increased by 6.6% to 4.99 billion dollars with a margin expansion of 70 bps to 38.2% following a 4.7% revenue growth to more than 12.9 billion, aided by cost synergies.
Whilst total volumes declined by 0.2%, AB InBev profited from a revenue per hl growth of 4.9%, driven by revenue management initiatives and ongoing strong performance in premium brands.
