Derichebourg: new facility inaugurated near Lyon
(CercleFinance.com) - On 18 March, Derichebourg Environnement inaugurated its new metal shredding recycling facility at its Saint-Pierre-de-Chandieu site, near Lyon, for a total investment of E45m over two years.
The new 6,000 hp shredder replaces equipment that has been in production for almost 35 years, with greater power. This replacement required a complete redevelopment of the site, using the best available environmental techniques.
This industrial line is designed to recycle end-of-life products and produce recycled raw materials for European steel mills, which will significantly reduce (-70%) the carbon footprint of steel production.
