BMW: net profit down almost 37% in 2024

67bn for FY 2024, down nearly 37% on the previous year (E12.16bn).
The Group produced 2.51 million automobiles during the year (versus 2.66 million a year earlier, or -5%), while motorcycle production was also down, from 221,988 to 215,727, a drop of almost 3%.
As a result, sales were down by just over 8% to E142.3bn, while gross margin fell from 19.1% to 16.1% in the space of a year.
Despite an unstable global environment, we remain firmly committed to growth in the current financial year. At the same time, we are putting our biggest project of the future, the NEUE KLASSE, on the road, Oliver Zipse, BMW's board chairman said.
In 2025, we expect our sales to rise again. At the same time, capital expenditure will decrease, as planned, enabling us to increase our free cash flow, he added.
