Thales: military satellite successfully deployed by Ariane 6
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales reports that the CSO-3 military observation satellite was successfully launched by Arianespace aboard an Ariane 6 rocket from French Guiana.
Carrying a very high-resolution optical instrument produced by Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), the satellite was developed on behalf of the French defense procurement agency (Direction Générale de l'Armement - DGA) for the Air Force Space Command.
Thales says that the cutting-edge optical instrument will offer exceptional resolution, enabling detailed observation of the earth's surface.
