Lockheed Martin tests long-range missile on F-35B
(CercleFinance.com) - Lockheed Martin has announced that it has carried out the first flight test integrating the long-range anti-ship missile (LRASM) on the F-35B Lightning II stealth fighter, following a similar test on the F-35C in September 2024.
This integration is part of the aircraft's Block 4 upgrade, enabling the external carriage of AGM-158 missiles, thus strengthening its multi-role capabilities.
Lockheed Martin says that this advance increases the F-35's range and lethality against protected strategic targets, ensuring its air dominance for decades to come.
