J&J: launches new 'IVL' catheter in US
(CercleFinance.com) - J&J announces that Shockwave Medical, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, is launching the Shockwave Javelin Peripheral IVL catheter in the United States.
This new intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) platform is designed to modify calcium and traverse extremely narrowed vessels in patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD).
The first of its kind, the device has a similar safety and efficacy profile to Shockwave's existing IVL catheters, and strengthens the company's market-leading IVL portfolio.
