Assa Abloy: acquires Wallace & Wallace in Canada
(CercleFinance.com) - Assa Abloy announced on Tuesday that it has continued its strategy of targeted acquisitions with the purchase of Canadian company Wallace & Wallace, a manufacturer of gates and enclosure grilles for businesses and consumers.
Founded in 1946, Wallace & Wallace has 160 employees at its plant and offices based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
In 2024, its sales were around (US) $39.5m, with a 'solid' level of operating margin, which means that the operation will be accretive as soon as it is completed.
The Swedish locksmithing giant justifies this operation, as usual, by its desire to strengthen its positioning in its most mature markets through the acquisition of assets complementary to its core businesses.
