
Continental: E1.2bn net profit, flat in 2024

7bn (vs. E41.4bn in 2023, -4.1%).
Adjusted operating income amounted to E2.7bn (vs. E2.5bn in 2023, +6.6%), corresponding to an improved adjusted EBIT margin of 6.8% (2023: 6.1%).
Net income amounted to E1.2bn in 2024 (flat vs. E1.2bn in 2023). Adjusted free cash flow came to E1.05bn (2023: E1.3bn, -18.6%).
Despite a global automotive market that is expected to continue to decline, the technology company is targeting an increase in earnings for 2025 (consolidated sales of around E38bn to E41bn and an adjusted EBIT margin of around 6.5 to 7.5%), it says.
Continental therefore expects an increase in its adjusted profit margin, particularly in the automotive and ContiTech Group sectors. Adjusted free cash flow is expected to be between E0.8bn and E1.2bn, management adds.
