BASF: Adjusted EPS up 26% in 2024

(CercleFinance.com) - BASF reports that sales reached E15.
85bn in Q4, down just 0.1% y-o-y.

EBITDA before non-recurrent items came to E1,567m (+19%), while EBIT before non-recurring items was E554m (+89%).

BASF posted a net loss of E786m, but less than the previous year's figure of E1,587m, giving EPS of -E0.88, compared with -E1.78 previously.

Adjusted EPS was E0.59, contrasting with the loss of E0.18 in Q4 2023.

Full year sales came inat E65.26bn (-5.3%), with net income of E1,298m (+475%), EBITDA before exceptional items was E7.9bn (+2.4%), while adjusted EPS reached E3.51 (+26%).

We are well on track to achieving the target of E2.1bn in annual savings by the end of 2026, BASF said.

For FY 2025, BASF expects EBITDA before exceptional items of between E8.0bn and E8.4bn (2024: E7.9bn) and FCF of between E0.4bn and E0.8bn (2024: E0.7bn).
