Wendel: 2024 earnings more than double
(CercleFinance.com) - Wendel announces net income, group share of E293.
9m for 2024, more than double the previous year's figure (E142.3m), notably due to the disposal of Constantia Flexibles in 2024.
At 31 December 2024, diluted net asset value was E185.7 per share, up 14.4%.
Adjusted for the dividend per share of E4.0 paid in May 2024, total value creation is up +16.9%, driven in particular by the good stock market and operating performances of Bureau Veritas, as well as the strong growth of our new third-party asset management business.
Wendel says that a 17.5% increase in the dividend will be proposed, to E4.7 per share. It also reports strong portfolio rotation, with over E2bn of capital reallocation.
In 2024, we have further improved our cash flow generation and value creation profile, in particular with the announced acquisition of Monroe Capital, giving us critical mass to develop our third-party asset management platform. In our Proprietary Management business, we have focused on quality assets, with the acquisition of Globeducate, completed in October 2024, it says.
