Nokia: space sound technology unveiled at MWC
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announced on Tuesday that it is working on a demonstration of its 3D spatial sound technology, which it intends to present next week with Vodafone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show in Barcelona.
The telecommunications equipment manufacturer explains that this process is based on the 'IVAS' (Immersive Voice and Audio Services) codec, developed by 13 partners, which is designed to enable 'immersion' in voice communication.
The company says it was designed in collaboration with RingCentral, a US group specializing in communication solutions, video meetings, collaboration and contact centers in the cloud.
MWC 2025 is scheduled to run from next Monday to Thursday 6 March.
