
Unilever: CEO replaced
(CercleFinance.com) - Unilever announces that Hein Schumacher will step down as CEO and member of the Board of Directors on 1 March, by mutual agreement, and will leave the Anglo-Dutch consumer staples group on 31 May.
He will be replaced by Fernando Fernandez, currently CFO and Executive Director of Unilever. Before becoming CFO in January 2024, he headed Beauty & Wellbeing, one of the group's fastest-growing divisions.
Srinivas Phatak, currently Deputy CFO and Controller of Unilever, will become interim CFO. A thorough internal and external search process is underway to appoint a permanent CFO.
The Board of Directors is committed to further accelerating the growth action plan and making Unilever a global industry leader. The group also confirms its outlook for 2025 and its medium-term forecasts.
