
Ams Osram: EU approves Austrian aid worth E227m
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission announces that it has authorised E227m in Austrian state aid for ams Osram to build a semiconductor production plant in Premstätten.
The project, based on integrated CMOS and TSV technology, aims to strengthen Europe's technological autonomy and resilience.
The plant, scheduled to be fully operational by 2030, will be open to other companies.
The aid, in the form of a direct grant, is deemed necessary and proportionate by the Commission, which considers that the measure will contribute to the security of supply and competitiveness of the sector in Europe.
