TotalEnergies: signs agreement for Africa and Asia
(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC - Masdar, the leading low-carbon energy company in the United Arab Emirates, and EPointZero have signed a Framework for Action (FFA) agreement to promote access to low-carbon energy in emerging markets and developing economies in Africa and Asia.
Under the agreement, TotalEnergies and Masdar will strengthen their cooperation to provide reliable and sustainable electricity to local communities in Africa, to support the long-term transformation of energy systems, and to jointly develop low-carbon energy in Southeast Asia.
TotalEnergies and EPointZero will explore partnership opportunities to support India's low-carbon energy ambitions, notably through solar, wind and energy storage, in order to contribute to the country's decarbonization efforts.
TotalEnergies said that by combining their strengths, expertise and geographical footprints, TotalEnergies, Masdar and EPointZero will undoubtedly be able to accelerate their growth and improve the quality of their investments in these booming markets, where renewable energies are essential to the energy transition.
