
Bp: launches 2nd phase of Raven development
(CercleFinance.com) - bp announces the start of production from the second phase of the Raven development, offshore Egypt.
BP, the operator, holds an 82.75% interest in the project, while Harbour Energy holds the remaining 17.25%.
The new wells are expected to produce around 220 billion cubic feet of gas and 7 million barrels of condensate.
Nader Zaki, bp's regional president for the Middle East and North Africa, said that the aim of the Raven Infills project has been to combat natural decline and increase production while maximizing our existing infrastructure to meet domestic Egyptian market demand at a sustained pace.
