Deutsche Börse: EU clears joint acquisition with Lindner
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has cleared, under EU Merger Regulations, the acquisition of joint control of Digital Vault Services by Deutsche Börse AG and Lindner Beteiligungs, both of Germany.
The transaction mainly concerns the financial sector, in particular the digital issuance and safekeeping of guarantees and bonds.
The Commission concluded that the notified operation would not give rise to competition concerns, as the joint venture's activities in the European Economic Area are negligible and the companies are not active on the same or vertically related markets.
