L'Oréal: sells nearly 30 million Sanofi shares
(CercleFinance.com) - L'Oréal announces that it has signed an agreement to sell around 29.
6 million Sanofi shares at E101.5 each, for a total consideration of E3bn, as part of the healthcare group's share buyback program.
Following the transaction and the cancellation of the repurchased shares, L'Oréal will hold 7.2% of Sanofi's share capital and 13.1% of its voting rights, and will continue to fully support the company's value creation strategy.
The transaction will enable L'Oréal to optimize its balance sheet, notably following recent acquisitions, and to further diversify the group's sources of financing, explains the cosmetics giant.
