TotalEnergies: EU clears acquisition of ADRE
(CercleFinance.com) - Under EU Merger Regulations, the European Commission has approved the acquisition of joint control of AES Dominicana Renewable Energy (ADRE), based in the Dominican Republic, by TotalEnergies, based in France, and The AES Corporation, based in the US.
The transaction mainly concerns the development and operation of onshore wind, solar and energy storage assets.
The Commission concluded that the proposed concentration would not raise competition concerns, given the limited impact on the European Economic Area.
The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger control procedure.
