ABB: record revenues in 2024

(CercleFinance.com) - ABB reports Q4 sales of $8.
6bn, up 4% as reported and 5% on a comparable basis y-o-y.

At the same time, the company booked orders worth $8.1bn, up 6% (+7% on a comparable basis), with operating EBITA of $1.43bn (+8% as reported, +9% on a comparable basis).

ABB posted quarterly net earnings of $987m, up 7%, giving EPS of $0.54 (+7%).

ABB recorded FY 2024 sales of $32.8bn, up 2% (+3% on a comparable basis), with operating EBITA of $5.96bn (+10% as reported, +11% on a comparable basis), and annual net income of $3.93bn (+5% as reported), giving EPS of $2.13, up 6% as reported. Annual FCF came to $3.93bn, up 7% on a reported basis.

Morten Wierod, Chief Executive Officer, said he was proud of these results, with revenues, operating EBITA and margins at record levels. He expects 2025 to be another year of progress, where we will continue to build on the ABB Way and our strong market positions.

Specifically, for 2025, ABB is targeting a positive book-to-bill ratio, comparable sales growth in the mid-single-digit range, and a y-o-y improvement in operating EBITA margin.
