Thales: E88m amendment to Copernicus CO2M contract
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales announces that Thales Alenia Space - a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%) - has signed an amendment to the E88m CO2M contract with OHB System, prime contractor for the space segment.
This amendment provides for the development of the payload for the third satellite in the Copernicus CO2M mission, in addition to the payloads for the first two satellites in the mission, which are currently being integrated.
Copernicus is the Earth observation component of the European Union's space program. The CO2M mission is an integral part of the program, and is being developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) with co-funding from the European Union and ESA.
