Getlink: 12% decline in FY sales, weighed on by ElecLink
(CercleFinance.com) - Infrastructure group Getlink has posted sales of just over E1.
61bn for 2024, down 12% on 2023 at constant exchange rates, due to the lower contribution from ElecLink.
The division operating the electricity interconnection in the Channel Tunnel saw its sales halved to E280m, impacted by the expected normalization of electricity markets and the suspension of activity since 25 September.
By contrast, the historic Eurotunnel division (shuttles and rail network under the English Channel) posted a 3% rise in sales to just under E1.17bn, and the Europorte rail freight division grew by 12% to E168m.
The good performance of our businesses, combined with tight cost control, enable us to confirm the range set for the Group's EBITDA target in 2024 (between E780m and E830m), it says.
