Alten: sales up 1.8% in 2024

8% to E4,143.3m in 2024. Growth was 4.8% in France and 0.4% outside France. Sales fell slightly LFL; -0.2% (+4.8% in France and -2.6% outside France).
Q4 sales fell by 0.5% (+2% in France; -1.7% outside France). On a like-for-like basis, sales fell by 2.7% (+2% in France and -5% outside France).
The Defence & Security, Civil Aeronautics, Rail and Energy sectors continue to grow.
Organic growth remains satisfactory in France and Southern Europe. Conversely, there was a marked decline in business in the UK and Northern Europe. In Asia and North America, sales are declining slightly, management says.
The macroeconomic context, particularly in Europe, accentuated the slowdown in business throughout 2024, especially in the Automotive, Life Sciences, Telecoms and Tertiary sectors. The start of 2025 shows no sign of an upturn in business, which is expected to stabilise in the first half of the year, Alten adds.
