Bureau Veritas: talks with SGS fail
(CercleFinance.com) - Bureau Veritas has announced the failure of its discussions with a view to a potential merger with its Swiss peer SGS, although there is a strong belief in the value-creation potential of consolidation in the testing, inspection and certification (TIC) sector.
Note that the group announced these discussions on 15 January, following press comments. There is no guarantee that these discussions will result in any transaction or agreement, it stated at the time.
Bureau Veritas says that it remains fully committed to its LEAP | 28 strategic plan, which notably targets high single-digit total sales growth and constant improvement in its adjusted operating margin.
