Safran: acquires CRT in US
(CercleFinance.com) - Safran Aircraft Engines announces that it has acquired CRT (Component Repair Technologies), a leading global company specializing in the repair of aero-engine parts, based in Mentor (Ohio, US).
With over 450 employees, CRT becomes the center of excellence for Safran Aircraft Engines' repair network for large parts (crankcases, rotating parts) in the Americas.
This acquisition is part of a E1bn investment plan to develop Safran Aircraft Engines' worldwide maintenance and repair (MRO) network.
This major acquisition is fully in line with our industrial strategy of having a benchmark repair center on each continent, to support the operations of our airline customers as closely as possible, while limiting the carbon footprint of our activities, Safran said.
