Eutelsat: signs multimillion-dollar contract in Nigeria
(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday, Eutelsat announced the signature of a multi-million dollar contract with Nigerian satellite services operator NigComSat.
The group stated that it had entered into an unprecedented multi-year agreement for the provision of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) services through its subsidiary OneWeb.
The strategic partnership is designed to make NigComSat the market leader in Nigeria for satellite services, enabling it to offer low-latency broadband connectivity services.
NigComSat says it intends to offer its services to government agencies and enterprises for applications such as remote communications, mobile connectivity and offshore activities.
LEO technology enables the deployment of fast, reliable connectivity services in remote and underserved areas.
