Iberdrola: Jefferies upgrades stock
(CercleFinance.com) - Jefferies has upgraded Iberdrola shares from 'hold' to 'buy', with a target price raised by 17% to E15, as the Spanish energy group's stock is one of its favourite European utilities stocks for 2025.
It considers a valuation premium for Iberdrola to be justified, pointing to average annual growth of around 8% in earnings and dividends over 2014-24, while expecting EPS to rise by 6% in 2025, around 5% above consensus.
Above all, Jefferies sees good visibility on growth drivers thanks to its capital allocation focused on networks, and points to credible optionality as a card for the data center theme in Europe.
