
Toyota: record European sales in 2024
(CercleFinance.com) - Toyota Motor Europe (TME) sold 1,217,132 Toyota and Lexus vehicles in 2024, outperforming the market with y-o-y sales growth of 4%.
The Toyota brand retained second place in passenger car sales, with an all-time sales record of 1,128,948 vehicles. Lexus sales reached an all-time high with 88,184 vehicles sold, up 20% y-o-y.
TME's electrified vehicle mix reached 74%, up 4 points, thanks to an 18% increase in battery-electric vehicles, 36% for plug-in hybrids and 9% for hybrids.
The Toyota Professional Proace range of commercial vehicles also set an all-time sales record, with 94,283 vehicles sold, representing a y-o-y jump of 20%.
Our growth is due to the fact that we offer customers a choice of technologies, combined with a strong brand, attractive products and excellent dealer support. We look forward to offering even greater choice in 2025 with the launch of a number of exciting new Toyota and Lexus products, Toyota Motor Europe said.
