Rolls-Royce: battery storage contract in Turkey
(CercleFinance.com) - Rolls-Royce has announced an agreement with Polat Enerji, a renewable energy specialist in Turkey, to supply a 132 MWh battery energy storage system.
The Rolls-Royce QG EnergyPack mtu system will be integrated into the Göktepe wind farm near Yalova, enabling surplus energy to be stored and green electricity to be fed continuously into the grid.
The project aims to enhance the stability of the electricity grid while reducing CO₂ emissions. The intelligent mtu EnergetIQ platform ensures efficient and cost-effective system management, Rolls-Royce says.
