BAE Systems: $85m contract with US Navy
(CercleFinance.com) - BAE Systems announces that, in 2024, the US Navy awarded it an $85m production contract to supply additional Network Tactical Common Data Link (NTCDL) systems.
NTCDL enables real-time exchange of data, voice, images and video from multiple sources (airborne, naval or portable), and is currently installed on aircraft carriers and soon on Constellation frigates.
This system increases link capacity and will support current and future platforms, ensuring simultaneous operations and optimum coordination of forces.
The contract extends the program by three years, with work to be carried out at several sites in the US.
