Microsoft: UBS raises its price target

(CercleFinance.com) - UBS announced on Wednesday that it has raised its price target on Microsoft from $500 to $525, while maintaining its buy recommendation on the stock.

In a note, the analyst looks back at the many debates that have recently animated the AI sector, starting with the fear that some market players are over-investing in their capabilities.

Despite these questions, UBS says it has decided to raise its earnings estimates on the American giant, which it still considers to be one of the best specialists in the field, whether on the customer side or in workload management.

Although it acknowledges that market sentiment is improving somewhat, the research firm still sees the situation as "mixed", notably due to concerns about the acceleration of Azure, its cloud division.

UBS also acknowledges concerns about the group's high level of investments, as well as uncertainties about the evolution of its relationship with OpenAI.
