Assa Abloy: acquires Norshield Security Products
(CercleFinance.com) - Assa Abloy announces the acquisition of Norshield Security Products, a US manufacturer of high-security openings and enclosures.
Norshield was founded in 1981 and has around 70 employees. The head office and factory are located in Montgomery, Alabama, US.
In 2023 sales reached approximately $16m (about 170m SEK). The acquisition will be EPS accretive from the outset.
This acquisition is in line with our strategy of strengthening our position in mature markets by adding complementary products and solutions to our core business, management said.
Norshield's focus on certified beacon-, attack- and blast-resistant products complements our existing portfolio of high-security doors and will strengthen our expertise in this market, it added.
