Alstom: new Citadis tramway commissioned near Paris
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announces the commissioning of the new-generation Citadis on the T1 line of the Île-de-France Mobilités network, linking Asnières-sur-Seine to the Gare de Noisy-le-Sec.
This tramway, known as TW20, is gradually replacing the network's older trams.
37 Citadis trainsets, operated by RATP and entirely financed by Île-de-France Mobilités, are gradually being brought into service, offering a new travel experience for line users and increasing capacity by 15%.
It features a new bogie profile that pivots under the cab, minimizing the space between doors and platforms and improving on-board accessibility, the transport equipment manufacturer says, eight of whose sixteen sites in France contributed to the project.
