Veolia: EU approves acquisition of Uniper Hungary
(CercleFinance.com) - Under EU Merger Regulations the European Commission has approved the acquisition of sole control of Uniper Hungary Energetikai by France's Veolia Environnement.
The transaction mainly concerns the provision of electricity system balancing services in Hungary.
The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given its limited impact on competition in the markets where the companies are active.
The notified transaction was examined under the normal merger control procedure.
