Prudential: EU authorises creation of JV
(CercleFinance.com) - Under EU Merger Regulations the European Commission has approved the creation of a joint venture by TPG (US) and The Prudential Assurance Company Limited (PACL), controlled by M&G plc (M&G), both of which are established in the UK.
The transaction mainly concerns the real estate sector.
The Commission concluded that the notified operation would not raise competition concerns, given its limited impact on the European Economic Area.
The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
