LDLC: heavier losses in H1

(CercleFinance.com) - LDLC announced on Friday that it had increased its losses in H1, explaining that the unfavourable economic and political climate weighed on its profitability.

The online retail specialist, positioned in the IT and high-tech sectors, reported a net loss of E7.3m in H1 to end-September, about double the loss of E3.7m a year earlier.

EBITDA was also negative, at -E2.5m for H1 2024-2025, compared with +E2.9m in H1 2023-2024.

H1 sales came to E243.7m, down 8.7% y-o-y and -9.1% LFL (excluding the impact of Rue du Commerce, which has been consolidated since July 2024).

TP ICAP Midcap analysts refer to heavy losses, as expected, recalling that they were expecting significantly worse H1 results themselves.

'e'll still have to be patient to see a clearing, the broker warns.

Meanwhile, LDLC points out that its business is traditionally stronger in H2, which - in addition to the measures implemented to control operating costs - should enable it to improve its profitability in H2.

Following this publication, the LDLC share was down 0.6% on the Paris Bourse at noon.
