Michelin: talks underway with workforce in Vannes and Cholet
(CercleFinance.com) - Michelin announces the implementation of support measures following the closure of its Vannes and Cholet sites.
On 5 November, the Michelin Man announced its intention to cease production at these two sites by early 2026 at the latest.
As soon as the closures were announced, group and individual sessions were organised to inform employees and offer them personalized support with the Alteregho and Randstad firms, the company says.
Michelin also reports that production resumed at both sites on 12 November.
The group says that a social dialogue has begun with a view to establishing a timetable and enriching the support measures. Michelin states that its "overriding concern" remains that everyone should find their own way, with a professional future that matches their aspirations.
The group is therefore proposing three main measures: internal mobility, support for external professional mobility and early retirement measures.
