Nokia: partnership extended with Indosat Ooredoo

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announced on Thursday that it has extended its existing partnership with Indonesian mobile operator Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) by two years, and will continue to supply 4G and 5G technologies.

Under the terms of the agreement, which will run from 2025 to 2027, Nokia will be responsible for helping the service provider to improve its operational performance, expand its network and increase capacity in certain strategic regions.

In particular, the Finnish group will supply Indosat Ooredoo with its AirScale base stations, as well as advanced AI and machine learning tools to help optimize its resources and investments.

Earlier in the day, Nokia announced that it had achieved 2.4Tbps transmission speed with Aramco on the Saudi oil giant's fiber optic network, paving the way for a future upgrade of its existing network infrastructure.

Earlier, the group unveiled a new AI technology developed by its research and development (R&D) subsidiary Bell Labs Consulting and the Saudi operator to facilitate and enhance the customer experience.
