Honeywell: agreement with Bombardier, targets reduced
(CercleFinance.com) - Honeywell announced Monday evening that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Bombardier, to provide advanced technologies for its current and future aircraft, in the fields of avionics, propulsion and satellite communications.
The after-sales offerings and new technologies offer Honeywell potential revenues of up to $17bn over the life of the agreement, it estimates, adding that all outstanding disputes between the companies have been resolved.
Although Honeywell is convinced that the agreement will create long-term value for its shareholders, it has reduced its targets for 2024, given the investments required by the agreement.
Thus, for the current year, it now expects adjusted EPS of $9.68 to $9.78, a segment margin of 22.6% or 22.7%, and sales of $38.2bn to $38.4bn.
