GE Vernova: contract to modernize power plant in US
(CercleFinance.com) - GE Vernova announces that it has won an order from Dominion Energy South Carolina to modernize two hydroelectric units at the Saluda Hydro plant in South Carolina.
The project aims to extend the life, improve the reliability and optimize the performance of this nearly century-old power plant, while incorporating a patented water-aerating turbine technology designed to preserve water quality and aquatic life.
The modernization includes the installation of turbines for units 1 and 3, and the rehabilitation of the generator on unit 3, with work scheduled until 2027.
