Getlink: Technical interruption of ElecLink operations
(CercleFinance.com) - A malfunction of the electrical interconnector between France and the UK has led to the suspension of its operation since 25 September.
Repair work on the cable outside the Tunnel on the French side is progressing, it says.
However, this is taking longer than initially envisaged, resulting in a further two weeks' shutdown to ensure that the interconnector can be put back into service.
Consequently, the resumption of activity is expected on 16 December.
The extension of the suspension of activity until 16 December will have an additional commercial impact estimated at E12m. The range set for the group's 2024 EBITDA target remains unchanged at this stage.
