ExxonMobil: invests $200m in recycling in Texas

(CercleFinance.com) - ExxonMobil announces an investment of over $200m to expand its advanced recycling operations in Baytown and Beaumont, Texas, with startup scheduled for 2026.

This aims to increase advanced recycling rates and divert plastic from landfill.

The company plans to build additional units to reach a global recycling capacity of 1 billion pounds per year by 2027.

Karen McKee, President of ExxonMobil Product Solutions, points out that this investment will enable hard-to-recycle plastics to be transformed into raw materials for valuable new products. The expansion of advanced recycling capacity in Baytown and Beaumont will bring ExxonMobil's total capacity to 500 million pounds per year.
