Dassault Systèmes: Spatial subsidiary updates its offering

S. subsidiary of Dassault Systèmes, on Wednesday unveiled an update to its product range, which extends from computer-aided design (CAD) to simulation tools.

The Colorado-based company says its 2025 offering includes performance enhancements and new features for 3D InterOp, its CAD data exchange and interoperability software.

This will now boast import times reduced by up to 50% compared with SolidWorks, Dassault Systèmes' product development solution.

The update also includes robustness enhancements, aimed in particular at improving the data preparation experience.

With regard to Acis Modeler 3D geometric modeling software, Spatial claims to have added automation of complex metal machining tasks, as well as improved performance for cutting operations

A new API automatically detects bends in sheet metal bodies and unfolds them.

In its new offering, Spatial also indicates that it now supports Linux ARM architecture for its 3D modelers.
