BMW: tests in Hungary before producing the Neue Klasse X
(CercleFinance.com) - BMW Group announces that the Debrecen plant in Hungary has begun production of the first test vehicles for the all-electric Neue Klasse X model, marking a key milestone before the start of series production scheduled for the end of 2025.
These vehicles are used to validate manufacturing processes and optimize equipment and logistics under real-life conditions.
' The production of the first test vehicles in Debrecen is an important step in the commissioning of the new plant', says Milan Nedeljkovic, BMW AG Board Member in charge of production. He adds that this phase will ensure a smooth vehicle launch.
At the same time, staff are receiving intensive training, while the advanced, connected production systems are being adjusted to maximize their efficiency.
