Walmart: full-year forecasts raised
(CercleFinance.com) - Walmart has significantly raised its annual guidance, now expecting adjusted EPS of between $2.
42 and $2.47, as well as LFL growth of 8.5% to 9.25% for adjusted operating profit and 4.8% to 5.1% for sales.
For Q3, the world's largest retailer posted adjusted EPS up 13.7% to $0.58, with adjusted operating profit up 8.2% to $6.7bn and a gross margin up 0.2 points to 24.2%.
At $169.6bn, sales were up 5.5% (+6.2% at constant exchange rates), including a 5.3% rise in comparable sales (excluding fuel) for Walmart US, boosted by around 2.9 points from online sales.
