Lockheed Martin: successful integration of Q-53 radar
(CercleFinance.com) - Lockheed Martin has announced the successful integration of its Q-53 multi-mission radar into the 'Lattice' command and control environment of Anduril, a US defense technology company, during the US Central Command's 'Desert Guardian' exercise at Fort Drum.
The exercise was aimed at filling gaps in the detection and tracking of drone threats.
David Kenneweg, Director of Multi-Mission Air Defense Radars at Lockheed Martin, emphasized the importance of this integration in meeting customer needs for countermeasures.
A second phase of exercises is planned in the Middle East to integrate the sensors into a single interface for operators in the field.
